Sorry to all you who have been following the blog (and there are a few), I know because you complained!!! So sorry again and hopefully no more breaks in transmission on this. The reason I was away as you probably have seen from my web site is that I was working on Boss Grady's Boys. It was a fantastic experience. Noel Pearson produced the play and there is no doubt about it - the man throws himself into everything and spares nothing. It was amazing working with him and I love his attitude. One of the reasons I took on the role was to work alongside Noel and spend some time in his company. Unfortunately, the play was never extended and only ran for two weeks, but it was a great production. Sebastian is a fantastic guy as well as a great writer; it was a great opportunity to work with him. Just to be able to spend time in a rehearsal room with people like Noel and Sebastian who have achieved so much on the world stage in their respective areas was a humbling experience that I will never forget.

I could go on about the fantastic cast, the amazing Tom Hickey and how accomplished he is etc, but I would not know where to stop so I won't begin!

So I am back touring, just started in Elphin in Roscommon and had a great night. I just have to apologise to everyone there for saying that Elphin is in Co. Leitrim from the stage, I bow my head in shame, there is no come back from that. I don't know what I was thinking! Even people in Leitrim don't acknowledge that they are from there, so why should the poor people of Roscommon have to put up with abuse from the stage like that. Shame on me. I do actually know that Elphin is in Co. Roscommon and not Co. Leitrim (and better luck next time in the county final Elphin!).

So I hope to keep up the blog from now on and there is a video blog starting soon. Keep an eye on the pub section of the web site for details there. There are some very exciting things happening with Mike Hanrahan taking over the running of the kitchen. Have a look at that page for exciting news.
